Calvin and Hobbes VII

For my next animation assignment, we have the task of animating the legendary duo themselves, Calvin and Hobbes.
Our first task is to learn how to draw them as they appear in the comics, like how a professional animator would learn to draw a character in a particular style off a model sheet. The first step of learning how to mimic a character's style, according to my teacher, is to trace directly off the reference, this case being this image ([link]), make several drawings of that, then try to copy the style without overlaying the paper overtop the reference, finishing up with creating your own poses and expressions when you feel ready.
During the tracing stage, it occurred to me that Calvin's hair reminded me of a certain other prominent blondie...

...and I was right! xD
(I didn't even need to change his hair at all!)
